Mujawamariya Myriam is a Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, Biology department and research associate at CoEB. Her research interest is on plant ecology and eco-physiology, investigating responses of tropical tree species to warmer World. Myriam holds a Master degree in Plant Sciences from Wageningen University, Netherlands and a PhD degree in Natural Sciences specializing in Environmental Sciences, from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden & in Biological Science, from the University of Rwanda. Her PhD thesis focused on improving mechanistic understanding of how tropical forests respond to climate change under Rwanda TREE project, thereby predicting future shifts in carbon fluxes from these important ecosystems. Currently, Myriam is involved in the project ’’ Heat stress in tropical trees and its implications for tree plantation success, forest carbon storage and biodiversity’’ as a postdoc researcher.
