Venuste Nsengimana is Associate Professor of Conservation Biology in the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.He has a PhD in “Sciences Agronomiques et IngénierieBiologique” (Agricultural Sciences and Bioengineering) from the University of Liège, Gembloux Agro Biotech, Belgium. In addition to the bachelor’s degree in education: Biology awarded by the former National University of Rwanda, Nsengimana has a Master of Science in Biodiversity Conservation from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology (UR-CSTS). Nsengimana serves the University of Rwanda as Senior Researcher andDirector of the Centre of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management (CoEB). Further, Nsengimana is an associate member of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB), member of Tropical Biology Association (TBA), Research Associate to the African Research University Alliance Water Centre of Excellence (ARUA Water CoE), Rhodes University, South Africa and the member of the Alumni of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), Brussels, Belgium. His area of research is Conservation Biology focusing on insect biodiversity, ecology, and socioecological resilience.
